Psychoactive Substances Safety Counseling & Harm Reduction

We recognize that some individuals may choose to use psychoactive substances as part of their personal wellness journey. We do not endorse, recommend, prescribe, or endorse the use of any illegal substances.

However, we are deeply concerned about the risks individuals may be taking when making uninformed decisions based on incomplete or inaccurate information from social media, online forums, and/or unreliable sources. We believe that providing professional medical guidance and evidence-based safety information serves the best interests of everyone. Poorly informed choices have the potential to cause significant harm not only to the individuals involved, but also to their families and broader communities through adverse psychiatric events, dangerous drug interactions, and emergency medical situations.

We have observed concerning gaps in proper medical screening and integration support at some “retreat centers” where participants may return home with profound experiences but lack adequate professional guidance to process and contextualize these encounters. We believe that providing professional medical guidance, support, and evidence-based safety information serves the best interests of individual patients and the public as a whole.
